WHO Takes Cognizance Of Reports Claiming Coronavirus To Be ‘Airborne’, Says Can’t Rule Out Possibility

Meanwhile, Maria Van Kerkhove, technical lead on the COVID-19 pandemic on the WHO, stated that the company will quickly publish a scientific notice briefing in regards to the modes of transmission of the virus within the coming days.

According to a press launch by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Professor Lidia Morawska, director of the International Air Quality and Health Laboratory has said that “Studies by the signatories and other scientists have demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that viruses are exhaled in microdroplets small enough to remain aloft in the air and pose a risk of exposure beyond 1 to 2m by an infected person.”
